Extra, Extra, Extra Auditions for Hansel and Gretel Musical

Auditions for the November 12 and 13, 2022 children’s musical production of Hansel and Gretel at the following times:

• August 28, 2022, Sunday, from one to three p.m.
• August 29, 2022, Monday, from five to 7 p.m.

The auditions will occur at the arts center, 117 W Davie Street, Anna, IL.  If you have a previous commitment, please call Lee 904-625-1109 to get an audition prior to September 2, 2022.

Ø  Ages for the audition are eight years to adults.  The musical will require a large cast, so everyone is encouraged to audition!  Please be prepared to sing a song and do a cold read.  If you know what part you want, please let us know when you arrive for your audition.

Ø  The director for the musical is Macky Cohen who looks forward to working with each cast member.   Her experience in the theater world includes over 20 years of directing plays/musicals, designing costumes and make-up for 14 different schools in District 214, a suburb of Chicago.  Also Macky directed musicals/plays, costume design and make-up in community theater for 17 years.  Shawnee Hills Arts Council/Anna Arts Center is fortunate to have her as part of the team.

Ø  The first read through of the script will be on September 6, 2022.  Macky will block rehearsals and will work with cast members if schedules conflict.
