ELITE Youth Entrepreneur Camp

Shawnee Community College will host the 15th annual ELITE youth entrepreneur camp July 17-
20, 2023 at its main campus in Ullin. ELITE (Educating, Leading, and Inspiring Tomorrow’s
Entrepreneurs) is coordinated by Shawnee Community College, Southernmost Illinois Delta
Empowerment Zone (SIDEZ), and the University of Illinois Extension.
Approximately 15 incoming 7th , 8th , and 9th grade students from the 5-county region will attend
the camp. Students will choose their “dream business” and then learn about business ethics,
sales and marketing, presentation skills, and more. The week will conclude with students
making presentations on their products and/or services.
